TK's Voice Beta Ver 0.5 Mod

TKs DoP Speech Mod 0.6 .zip

10-4-2008
Ver. 0.6
Updates

- I correctly normalized all the voices, so they should actually now play out at proper volume.
- I have now added Varin the Armorsmith dialogue to the mod.
- The warmaster dialogue, "What now?" will now play correctly (instead of not).

Next up is the audio for the tutorial dude.
When that is done, I will record the quest dialogue for the male characters.

I'm still figuring out how to deal with the female characters, though it appears that Delilah may have taken interest and I'm still trying to get my wife to record one of them (she favors the apothecary).

Failing that, I could just get a sex change, though it seems perhaps a bit extreme for a mod. But it's always good to have options :)

Ver. Beta 0.5
This mod finally works!  It's still very much in the early stages.  However, you will now get dialogue chat for Torsten the Steward, Airik the Warmaster, and Oslo the Vendor.  The Armorsmith is now fully recorded but I haven't spliced it up into individual files yet.  Once that's done, I'm going to work on the tutorial guy (is that Torsten or somebody else--I can't remember).  Then I hope to record all of the quest dialogue for these characters.

To use this mod, just drop the file above (in the white text) into the following directory (just create an assets folder if you don't have one):

C:\Program Files\Depths of Peril\Assets\

Do an "unzip to here" command so that you end with two new folders looking like this:

C:\Program Files\Depths of Peril\Assets\sound
C:\Program Files\Depths of Peril\Assets\database

Now you're ready!

To uninstall, just delete those two directories.

Please let me know of any issues you have of any kind and I absolutely welcome constructive feedbackLet me know if you run into any dialogue (except quest dialogue, which I haven't done yet)  that sounds bad, garbled, poorly acted, not loud enough or is just plain missing.

I really hope you guys enjoy!

TK's DoP Immersive Interface Mod Beta
Every now and then I'd zoom in on a particular object or creature or landscape, and I'd realize just how cool some of the graphics actually are.  I always use immersive interface mods in other games (Oblivion is a great example) and decided I'd try to make one for this one since so that I could have a more unobstructed view of the game.  This is what I've come up with so far.

I should note that this is for more advanced users only because I've removed a bunch of buttons from the game, (they're invisble, not gone, so they still work) so for menu functions you just have to use hotkeys.  I felt like this shouldn't be too big a deal since most people are probably just using hotkeys now.

It's not in a perfect state yet (I haven't figured out how to handle the text over bags quite yet), but I've used it for quite a while and everything seems to work.  Let me know if you encounter any bugs.  I think I might be moving my focus on to the speech mod at this point, so if somebody would like to take over, please feel free to.

To use this mod, all you have to do is unzip this file:
tks dopii mod beta.zip to

C:\Program Files\Depths of Peril\Assets\UI

TK's Game Won Icon Mod

This mod makes it so that the won game icon is reduced in size, sits on the top of the screen and won't flash.  Unzip the following file: game.mnu to

C:\Program Files\Depths of Peril\Assets\UI
